She started out thinking there was nothing wrong with her and other people told her she was broken. This is what we do, this is what we teach people to do.
Before you react and say I don't do that. ask yourself a simple question: Have you ever crossed the street, move your seat, left a room, or in any way removed your self from a situation because the other person made you uncomfortable.
If so, you just did the same thing those kids did.
Then listen to the rest of it.
Whether a person has a disease like this, or depression, or ADD or Autism, or whatever… they are people.
Small things, done every day can make hug differences. A smile, a hello, a thank you.
